Korsi Senyo Kumedzina, Executive Director, AFCOPB

Korsi Senyo Kumedzina, the Executive Director of The African Centre for Peace Building-AFCOPB to participate in the 25th Anniversary of the signing of the Brazzaville Protocol on February 11, 2014 in Brazzaville the capital of Congo.


The Brazzaville Protocol was signed on December 13, 1988 in the Republic of the Congo which was one of the fundamental pillars upon which modern Africa was built.

A watershed event, The Brazzaville Protocol signaled the end of the Cold War in Africa, akin to the fall of the Berlin wall for the continent.

The signing of this Protocol led to Namibia’s independence, the withdrawal of Cuban troops from Angola and broadened nonviolent dialogue in South Africa leading to the abolition of apartheid.


As one of the invited guests of H.E. President Denis Sassou N’Guesso of the Republic of Congo, Korsi Senyo Kumedzina will be joining other eminent personalities, head of states, senior government officials and peace activists to celebrate and hold discussions that will help shape international resolutions for the future.

Korsi Senyo Kumedzina has been the Director of AFCOPB since 2010 where he champions the organization to impalement several grassroots peace projects and international dialogues.


The African Centre for Peace Building is a Ghana based peace organization which seeks to build a sustainable peace in Africa through peace education, justice and promotion of human rights, and youth development.
