Appointments

The African Centre for Peace Building-AFCOPB appointed Mr. Jonathan Ashagbui and Miss. Patricia Kwarteng as the Regional Coordinators of Peace Fellowship Network International-Volta and Ashanti Regions respectively. The appointments ware confirmed and signed by the Coordinator-General of Peace Fellowship Network International and Director (Peace & Conflicts)-AFCOPB, Mr. Emmanuel K. Senyo Kumedzina.

The two personalities were tasked to oversee the general activities of the PFNI and champion the formation of the Networks in other educational institutions in their respective regions. They are also to Coordinate all AFCOPB Volunteers' Programmes in the Regions.

The Coordinator-General cautioned the two personalities to be mindful of their utterances, actions and in-action that might bring displeasure to people in society. He stressed that they should be ready to scarifies for the future and be a story for other members of the PFNI to tell.

Mr. Jonathan Ashigbui and Miss Patricia Kwarteng are both Volunteers on the on-going Rural Peace Project in the Volta Region.

Mr. Jonathan Ashigbui holds BSc. from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-Kumasi and Diploma in Marketing Management-ICM. He is a graduate of Keta Senior High-KETASCO in the Volta Region.

Miss. Patricia Kwarteng is a final year student in the Department on Political Studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-Kumasi. She completed Yaa Asantewaa Girls' in 2006.

Between 2004/05 he was appointed the Zonal Music Coordinator-Keta Zone, the Music Director, Choir President and a member of Students’ Disciplinary Committee at Keta Secondary School.

He is was a Founding Member Youth for Change Ghana, KNUST and National Coordinator of the group till May 2010. He was a SRC Property & Facilities Commission and SRC Entertainment 2008-2009. In 2008/09 he was a member of Independence Hall 50th Anniversary Planning C’ttee, KNUST.
Jonathan was the Drama Head, EPSU-KNUST between 2008-09

Between 2009-2010 Jonathan was elected as the Parliamentary Council Member of the SRC-KNUST.

Jonathan is an entrepreneur and a youth activist. He has good public speaking skills and admirable leadership skills.

He is Volunteer at Three Town Senior High-Denu in the Volta Region. He single handedly established Peace Fellowship Net.- Three Town Senior High, Keta Senior High, St. Paul's Senior High Chapters. He also initiated a Peace & Health Walk at Denu and Aflao.

He is a member of the Peace Festival Planning Team at the African Centre for Peace Building.

With PFNI, Jonathan wants to dedicate all his effort to ensuring a stronger front of the youth-PFNI in the Region.

With AFCOPB as the Regional Volunteers' Coordinator, he would work tirelessly with AFCOPB Programmes Department to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of all volunteers' programmes.

She was a Leader of the Volunteers' Team to Royal Academy-Wusuta in the Volta Region. She lead the Volunteers to established Peace Fellowship Net.-Wusuta Chapter, initiated a Peace Walk, and lead the team to unfold the Community Peace Education (Children and Adult) at Wusuta and its environs.

Patricia is member of the Peace Festival Planning Team at the African Centre for Peace Building.

Patricia is hardworking, trustworthy and has an excellent public speaking skills and has a unique leadership skills that motivate many ladies of her age.

With PFNI, Patricia wants to put in her maximum efforts to making sure that the Ashanti Regional chapter of the PFNI grows stronger and design innovative programmes to empower the women in the Region and beyond.

With AFCOPB as the Regional Volunteers' Coordinator, she would work effectively with AFCOPB Programmes Department to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of all volunteers' programmes.
