AFCOPB – a peace-building organization works in the areas of youth and women development, conflict prevention, cyber security, poverty reduction and agriculture is seeking to hire experienced grant-writing consultants.

Job Title: Grant Proposal Writing Consultant 

Description of responsibilities:

The consultant will be provided by a concept note of the projects, criteria and details of the various “call for proposals”. This job can be done online and anywhere in the world.

Areas of focus:

  • Youth and Peace Building
  • Building capacity for CSO, Youth Groups, Media for a peace education
  • Cyber security and cyber law framework
  • Justice and Peace

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of writing successful applications for USAID, EU grants or any other donors in the past three years.
  • University degree or higher, in fields like development studies, conflict resolution, non-profit management, , political science etc
  • Strong technical writing skills (writing samples will be requested)
  • Experience working with grass-roots NGOs on project development, fundraising and/or capacity-building
  • Fluent English language

Volunteers (both local and foreign) are needed to assist in writing grants, sponsorship proposals and working on upcoming research.

We need the Volunteers from May 2015 and the Volunteer should be willing to stay with us at least two weeks.

  • Sponsorship Coordinator will be in charge of local and International businesses and donor organizations
  • Grant Officer will be in charge of writing grant and developing other Fund Raising Strategies
  • Research Officer will be assisting in collecting data and righting reports
