H.E. Amb. Mussie Hailu, PhD (Chair, International Advisory Board)

Ambassador Mussie Hailu is a peace activist who is working at national, regional and international levels for peace, reconciliation, interfaith harmony, disarmament, the Golden Rule, world citizenship, right human relationships and international cooperation.

He considers himself as a Citizen of the World and strongly believes in the interdependence of human beings and celebrates cultural diversity, seeing the differences in race, ethnicities, religions, politics, and nationalities as important elements of the one and indivisible humanity.

He has served many national and international organizations including the United Nations. Currently he is the Regional Director of URI for Africa and representative of URI at the Economic Commission for Africa and African Union. He is a founding member of URI.

Millicent Atana

Millicent Atana (Board Secretary)

Ms. Atana is the IREX – Program Coordinator on the Mandela Washington Fellowship for
Young African Leaders  Initiative (YALI). Before joining IREX, She worked with the African Centre for Peace Building as the Programmes Officer and then Programmes Director and rLG Communications.

Millicent hold BA. in Political Science from University of Ghana and MA. in Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

Virginia Comolli (Board Member)

Virginia Comolli is the Research Associate for Transnational Threats at The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London. In her current capacity she has responsibility for extremism, transnational organized crime, and security threats in West Africa and the Sahel.  Previous experience includes a secondment to the British Ministry of Justice and work for a private security company and a strategic intelligence firm.

Virginia is the co-author with Nigel Inkster of “Drugs, Insecurity and Failed States: the Problems of Prohibition” (London: Routledge, 2012) and author of a forthcoming book on Boko Haram’s insurgency in Nigeria (Hurst Publishers/Oxford University Press, 2014).

She holds a First Class Honour Degree in War Studies and American Studies from the University of Wolverhampton and a Master’s Degree in Intelligence and Strategic Studies from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

Korsi Senyo has over six years experience working directly at local and international levels focusing on peace-building, youth development, education, web development, social media, marketing, microfinance, event management, building and construction, project management, mass media and corporate communications.

As a web developer, he has developed over 150 websites globally.

He is the Founder and CEO of Senyo Global Group – a company that is in to business media, ICT, real estate and agriculture

Korsi Senyo is Founder of AwakeAfrica.org and GHadverts.com (online pan-African magazine and Business Magazine respectively).
